To help support our momentum, we are actively looking to add a key contributor to the Human Resources Department.

Why we need you?

As an experienced generalist, you will support our leaders by delivering value-added services and counsel to help achieve our goals. You will help design communicate, deploy, and monitor the success of people programs and projects. You will help build and sustain a positive culture as we move the needle from how we did things in the past to how we want to do things moving forward. Reporting directly to our Director of Human Resources, you will help manage the most important asset of our organization, our people.

Get paid to:

  • Function as a talent acquisition resource for various teams across the organization to ensure we are optimally staffed
  • Explore new approaches to promote, attract, engage, and recruit exceptional talent
  • Partner with certain managers to ensure we have the right team structure, roles, and clarity in place to scale
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees
  • Provide expertise and knowledge in the following areas: employee relations, employee engagement, change management, performance management, training and development, compensation, policies, and programs.
  • Help develop and implement key corporate policies
  • Participate in department and cross-functional projects and initiatives

  • You host a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, CHRP preferred
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and other HR systems and software

The Risk Control & Credit Analyst will prepare, review and analyze the due diligence and documentation involved in the Loan and Merchant Advance adjudication process to ensure they are complete and comply with established credit policies.

Get paid to:

  • Review loan documentation for completeness and compliance with established credit policies
  • ‪Verify/validate all required loan/client information
  • ‪Pull consumer and commercial credit reports
  • Pull lien searches as well as perform business corporate searches

The Operations Administrator facilitates the success of boarding merchants in a timely manner and the accurate set-up of merchant accounts, advances, and loans. This role is responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties supporting the daily operations of our business.

  • Create contracts and send to merchants in a timely manner
  • Create merchant accounts, advances and loans
  • Review and validate returns with merchants via email & phone
  • Retrieve merchant daily sales numbers and enter data

  • Run merchant reports 
  • Update our CRM cases that have been funded and advise sales agents that the funds have been disbursed
  • Prioritize and manage own workload to complete and deliver transaction processing or other processing activities accurately and in a timely manner

  • Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate with other departments as needed to resolve issues
  • File and maintain incident management tickets for questions, service requests, issues and system change requests
  • Execute ad-hoc tasks and other requests from the Director of Operations

Get paid to:    

  • Work with a queue of incoming Business Loan and Cash Advance applications to perform validation of small business existence and information through online search engines and other records
  • Analyze and verify information on borrowers’ application and evaluate fraud risk
  • Analyze potential borrowers’ creditworthiness
  • Present recommendations to Senior Underwriters
  • Make lending decisions
  • Follow up on missing documents with the Sales department
  • Attach required underwriting documents to the Salesforce application processing system, when required

Do you have what we’re looking for?

  • 1-2 years of work experience in commercial loan underwriting, preferably gained while working in the underwriting department of a Canadian bank or alternative lender
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, economics, finance or related discipline considered a definite asset
  • Ability to interpret financial information in the context of assessing small business credit quality (including review of financial statements, bank statements, credit reports and information obtained from other data sources)
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to act as the outward face of the credit department.
  • Ability to learn and help others while working in a team environment, as well as work independently
  • Strong analytical skills with commercial awareness and a practical approach
  • Ability to plan and organize workload to ensure consistent achievement of goals and targets
  • Enthusiasm for a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and online research
  • Written and spoken fluency in English and French

What are the hours?

Full time: 35 hrs/week

Monday – Thursday: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm

Friday: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm

What does it pay?

Hourly rate of 16$-18$ with sales commission paid weekly
