We’re currently on the lookout for a motivated Sales Support Administrator to provide ongoing sales and administrative support throughout the entire renewal and online application process for our Renewal, Online, and Partnership channels.

Get paid to:

  • Qualify new opportunities from various marketing and email campaign initiatives
  • Respond to client questions during the application process and ensure applications are properly completed
  • Send applications to compliance for revision
  • Re-engage with older prospects to see if there is a renewed interest
  • Perform some administrative duties
  • Send approved offers to partner
  • Negotiate and help close deal flow with partners (ISO’s)

Do you have what we’re looking for?

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of sales or sales administration
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Post-Secondary education

Conveniently located in downtown Montreal, Evolocity Financial Group is a financial technology company that offers small and medium-sized businesses alternative lending. To support our growth, we are currently looking to hire a financial leader to fill the position of Vice President of Finance.

Why we need you?

As a key member of our Senior Management Team, the Vice President of Finance will be a strategic contributor to the business. You will navigate the next phase of our evolution to capture the tremendous growth potential and to increase market share. You will bring expertise and objectivity to the business and challenge the status quo. You will plan, direct and control the organization’s operational and financial plans along with its accounting practices and manage the relationship with financial institutions and investors. You will provide overall leadership in the development and execution of the business strategy to drive stronger performance.

Reporting directly to our Co-Founder & Chief Risk Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create company-wide operational and financial plans
  • Oversee accounting and planning functions including financial close process (both for local subsidiary and parent consolidation), budget, operational plans, forecasting and cash-flow management
  • Assist senior and mid-level management in establishing, tracking and analyzing KPI’s by functional area and across the organization
  • Lead activities to optimize unit economics and maximize customer lifetime value
  • Assist Sales and Marketing in establishing and maintaining product pricing policies and overall objectives
  • Assist in transaction negotiations and integrations as needed, including identifying and realizing synergies
  • Assist on all contract negotiations
  • Provide strategic input and leadership on capital allocation and investment decisions
  • Work with US capital markets team to develop the local corporate fundraising strategy, execute financings, and manage relationships with partners and investors
  • Liaise with shareholders and lenders including delivery of all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
  • Drive strong, commercially sound decision making in the Company
  • Instill financial discipline and control across Company culture
  • Ensure a reliable system of internal controls are in place to adequately safeguard company assets and provide accurate reporting on financial results
  • Human Resources administration including benefits administration

Do you have what we’re looking for?

  • 10+ years of functional experience in a financial role with expanding scope
  • A minimum of CPA; CFA and/or MBA desirable
  • Exposure to both external audit and in-house financial management experience in a high-growth organization
  • Financial services and/or financial technology background preferred
  • Thorough understanding of foreign currency transactions and translation / measurement
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software; database/data warehouse skills desirable
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • The ability to operate at a high level in a bilingual (French/English), flexible and fast paced work environment
  • The ability to work actively with team members in a hands-on management capacity

Get paid to:    

  • Work with a queue of incoming Business Loan and Cash Advance applications to perform validation of small business existence and information through online search engines and other records
  • Analyze and verify information on borrowers’ application and evaluate fraud risk
  • Analyze potential borrowers’ creditworthiness
  • Present recommendations to Senior Underwriters
  • Make lending decisions
  • Follow up on missing documents with the Sales department
  • Attach required underwriting documents to the Salesforce application processing system, when required

Do you have what we’re looking for?

  • 1-2 years of work experience in commercial loan underwriting, preferably gained while working in the underwriting department of a Canadian bank or alternative lender
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, economics, finance or related discipline considered a definite asset
  • Ability to interpret financial information in the context of assessing small business credit quality (including review of financial statements, bank statements, credit reports and information obtained from other data sources)
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to act as the outward face of the credit department.
  • Ability to learn and help others while working in a team environment, as well as work independently
  • Strong analytical skills with commercial awareness and a practical approach
  • Ability to plan and organize workload to ensure consistent achievement of goals and targets
  • Enthusiasm for a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and online research
  • Written and spoken fluency in English and French

  • Support Business Development: generate qualified leads

What are the hours?

Full time: 35 hrs/week

Monday – Thursday: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm

Friday: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm

What does it pay?

Hourly rate of 16$-18$ with sales commission paid weekly
