The Credit & Collections Analyst will work closely with and receive direction from the Director of Collections and Legal Affairs. You will play an important role by mitigating risk, ensuring compliance and supporting client relationships to create resolutions that generate revenue on a regular basis.

Get paid to:

  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments by conducting weekly Accounts Receivable (AR) reviews
  • Determine the reason for delinquency, reconcile accounts, and work cooperatively with our clients to negotiate resolutions
  • Minimize bad debt exposure, maintain aging at an acceptable level by meeting targets to reduce delinquent accounts
  • Restructure or revise payment terms, recommend deferments, and negotiate settlement agreements using independent judgement within established limits
  • Conduct collections campaigns on each client that consist of emails, phone calls and standard mail correspondence
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping and reporting on collection activity
  • Communicate regularly with management on the status of accounts and escalations
  • Providing customer service regarding collection issues
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Collections Department

Do you have what we’re looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 5 years of collections, accounts receivable, or customer service experience required
  • Excellent diplomacy, negotiation, organizational and information management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, bilingualism (French/English) is a must

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will be based in Toronto and will work remotely from a home office or Wework collaborative space. The individual will be required to travel from time to time to various client sites and to our Montreal office.   • Source and onboard new partners for our Merchant Referral Partner (MRP) and Funding Advisor Programs (FAP)
  • Identify strategic verticals that align with our current product offerings and use business development skills to acquire and manage top tier referral sources
  • Ensure 100% compliance with the accreditation and onboarding process for all intermediaries
  • Build education tools in collaboration with Marketing to help partners understand and maximize the opportunity to work with our organization

As a key member of our Senior Management Team, the Vice President of Finance will be a strategic contributor to the business. You will navigate the next phase of our evolution to capture the tremendous growth potential and to increase market share. You will bring expertise and objectivity to the business and challenge the status quo. You will plan, direct and control the organization’s operational and financial plans along with its accounting practices and manage the relationship with financial institutions and investors. You will provide overall leadership in the development and execution of the business strategy to drive stronger performance.

Reporting directly to our Co-Founder & Chief Risk Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create company-wide operational and financial plans
  • Oversee accounting and planning functions including financial close process (both for local subsidiary and parent consolidation), budget, operational plans, forecasting and cash-flow management
  • Assist senior and mid-level management in establishing, tracking and analyzing KPI’s by functional area and across the organization
  • Lead activities to optimize unit economics and maximize customer lifetime value
  • Assist Sales and Marketing in establishing and maintaining product pricing policies and overall objectives
  • Assist in transaction negotiations and integrations as needed, including identifying and realizing synergies
  • Assist on all contract negotiations
  • Provide strategic input and leadership on capital allocation and investment decisions
  • Work with US capital markets team to develop the local corporate fundraising strategy, execute financings, and manage relationships with partners and investors
  • Liaise with shareholders and lenders including delivery of all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
  • Drive strong, commercially sound decision making in the Company
  • Instill financial discipline and control across Company culture
  • Ensure a reliable system of internal controls are in place to adequately safeguard company assets and provide accurate reporting on financial results
  • Human Resources administration including benefits administration

Do you have what we’re looking for?

  • 10+ years of functional experience in a financial role with expanding scope
  • A minimum of CPA; CFA and/or MBA desirable
  • Exposure to both external audit and in-house financial management experience in a high-growth organization
  • Financial services and/or financial technology background preferred
  • Thorough understanding of foreign currency transactions and translation / measurement
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software; database/data warehouse skills desirable
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • The ability to operate at a high level in a bilingual (French/English), flexible and fast paced work environment
  • The ability to work actively with team members in a hands-on management capacity

The Risk Control & Credit Analyst will prepare, review and analyze the due diligence and documentation involved in the Loan and Merchant Advance adjudication process to ensure they are complete and comply with established credit policies.

  • Review loan documentation for completeness and compliance with established credit policies
  • ‪Verify/validate all required loan/client information
  • ‪Pull consumer and commercial credit reports

The Operations Administrator facilitates the success of boarding merchants in a timely manner and the accurate set-up of merchant accounts, advances, and loans. This role is responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties supporting the daily operations of our business.

Get paid to:

  • Partner with our customers to effectively resolve issues through phone (primary channel) and email.
  • Triage incoming requests and spot trends in customer issues to flag for the rest of the team
  • File and maintain incident management tickets for questions, service requests, issues and system change requests
  • Review and validate returns with merchants via email & phone
  • Run merchant reports
  • Create contracts and send to merchants in a timely manner
  • Review the compliance of documents before funding
